Lawson and Olive (Oliver) Hobbs were Corilla Hobbs Ridgeway’s brothers.

According to Jesse M. Jones,154 Corilla A. Hobbs was born in Daviess County Indiana on 12-28-1823 and was married to James Ridgeway and lived on a farm in Lavaca County Texas and was known to have had one daughter and possibly more children. That daughter was Elizabeth Ridgeway, who is recorded as the only child in both 1850 and 1860. James Ridgeway apparently died between 1860 and 1870 and the 1870 census recorded a probable sonk, Virgil Ridgeway.
