172The marriage of a John Jobes with possible connections (no proof) is found in Stewart Co., TN which is located on the Kentucky border also where the Tenn. & Cumberland rivers cross. It is reported here one John Jobes married Sarah Hobbs 6-11-1851.
Another possible connection of this same union is found in the Will of Joseph Hobbs filed in Guadalupe Co., TX in 1863. His Will refers to "Sarah E. Jobs daughter of B. G? Hobbs deceased". Benedict G? Hobbs was a son of Joseph born about 1814 in Indiana.

172Livingston County, KY is on Ohio River next to the north bank of the Tennessee River and also covers both sides of the Cumberland River. The J. H. Jobes family was here in 1860 Census see name, age and birth place as noted below. Ref: p405 Smithfield #1039. (Sam, "Carrie" and "Dee" are children recognized by later family.)
